Limited Warranty

Breakaway Camlock products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase.

This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and covers manufacturing defects under intended operating conditions.

At our discretion, defective products will be repaired or replaced. This warranty is limited to the product itself.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Improper installation

  • Operation outside intended or rated system limits

  • Unauthorized modifications or alterations

  • Welding, machining, drilling, or structural changes to the housing

  • Use of non-approved or third-party replacement components

  • Failure to inspect or rebuild the unit after a separation event

  • Normal wear components, including sacrificial break tabs

  • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or improper maintenance

Any modification to the product voids this warranty.

Intended Use

The Breakaway Camlock is designed for water-transfer applications in industrial, construction, firefighting, and similar environments.

The product must be installed and operated in accordance with accepted industry practices and within the rated limits of the overall system.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure compatibility with their equipment and application.

Inspection & Maintenance Responsibility

Operators are responsible for:

  • Proper installation

  • Routine inspection

  • Rebuilding the unit after any separation event

  • Verifying system integrity before returning the unit to service

A unit that has experienced separation must be inspected and rebuilt prior to reuse.

Limitation of Liability

Breakaway Camlock shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

  • Equipment damage

  • Loss of revenue

  • Production downtime

  • Environmental penalties or cleanup costs

  • Personal injury arising from misuse or improper installation

Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

Governing Law

This warranty and any related disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
