Normal Operation

When installed, the Breakaway Camlock functions like a standard camlock fitting.

During a Drive-Away Event

If tension exceeds designed limits:

  1. Shear tabs separate

  2. Internal sleeve disengages

  3. Dual shutoff mechanism activates

  4. Flow is automatically stopped on both sides

The housing remains intact.
Replace tabs. Return to service.
